A Guest Post...

Great people, working to help a great cause.

Let's Do Something Good.

We are a small blog…we are just one little family. We’re not the smartest or most original people around. I’m probably not going to accomplish great, renowned things that make me famous in this life.

I used to think I was too insignificant to really help anyone. There was a time when I felt like I was unsuited for any kind of ministry at all. But last summer, as I was in my car on an average day, a phrase popped into my head and it’s never left.   “Let’s do something good” repeats in my head a lot. In the last year, I have felt that phrase pressing on my heart more and more. I felt like the Lord was showing me that if I step forward, even in small steps, with the faith that He will walk along with me then I can make the world around me better.

Since then, I’ve started realizing that simple, little acts of love can start ripples and affect people in ways that I would have never thought. There are so many small ways that we can love and encourage the people around us without tons of time or money, a huge gesture or a grand effort on our part. We don’t need to be famous or powerful to leave behind a legacy of encouragement.  Smiling, saying hello, writing happy notes – all these things are actions I can take even on the roughest, craziest day with the girls. And somehow, any little effort I make always ends up refreshing my spirit as well.

So this is our little attempt at doing something good in this space.
Today we have added this print to our shop. It is an 8×10 pdf download of an original illustration that Zac created. We are asking just $8 for the download and 100% will go to Compassion International to help them in their mission to rescue children and their families from poverty. We are hoping that you will join with us and give just a little so that, together, we can share the blessings that we’ve been given with those who are needing our care in this world. We can so easily reach out and uplift and encourage these children who are struggling.

this has been a very popular frame choice, as well as the quote on the frame... we have sold many of these, but again, no two alike, since the paint choice varies per customer. i adore the fact that our frames are all unique. no design ever repeated exactly. different variations! this sets us a part from most design companies.

we designed and created a cork board for my dearest friend mandee for their wedding day. it was going to be used at their reception to hang the place cards on for their seating arrangements. this was a blast to make and create for them.... the colors were oranges, royal blue, creams and white, grays, and gold metallic.

****this is the biggest one yet! it measures 2 ft wide by 4 feet tall. it can hang vertically or horizontally. the photo that can go in this frame measures an 11x14. this is a huge frame and can be used as a statement piece in any setting! we currently have it hanging in our entry way at the top of our stairs. i painted this frame with quite a few metallic paints, i am a fan of anything with some bling! i used a bronze paint, silver and gold metallic as well as a some matte finish paints, green, orange, taupe, white and a dark chocolate brown. the outside edge and inner piece framing the photo is painted a black.

. frame 41 .

our daughter made a comment one day, that she didn't have a frame in her room. So, myhusband said, here is a piece of paper.... draw out what you want and i'll make it! so, she did just that, then she painted it, herself.

she was born on the fourth of july, and has taken a GREAT DEAL of pride in her birthday being on a national holiday.... everything has to be red, white and blue, this kid is crazy about it all....

so of course she chose those colors for her frame....

afterall, it matches her room perfectly, since afterall, is red, white, and blue. she even threw in some metallic gold and yellow.

great choice of colors! I love her and her desire to create.

our neighbor placed an order! they wanted to frame the print of the temple they were married in. She had gone to Michaels Craft store to see about it getting framed and they wanted to charge her over 200 bucks to custom frame her print! We have so enjoyed the different orders people have placed. there are many uses for a frame! any print can be framed! any photo, art work for your kids! anything. love being able to meet peoples needs in a creative and personal way! thanks Megan and Shawn for your order!

this is another memorial frame. a teacher at Caelan's school in California lost her husband tragically. A friend of the teacher contacted me. Thanks Denise for allowing us to do this! Such a honor!
